Founded in 1959, the Sri. Jagajyothi Basaveshwara Sahakara Sangha (N) stands as the sole cooperative society in Bangalore committed solely to education. With a noble mission of delivering quality education at an affordable rate, the Sangha aims to extend its benefits to economically disadvantaged sections of society. Over the years, it has made significant strides in achieving this objective. Presently, the Sangha oversees sixteen educational institutions across various parts of the city, catering to the educational needs of nearly five thousand students. Embracing the motto ‘Work is Worship’, all institutions under the Sangha’s purview are dedicated to fostering personal growth and character development. They prioritize instilling core values, nurturing spiritual resilience, and fostering intellectual advancement in every individual.

Established in 1982, the Basaveshwara College of Commerce, Arts, and Science epitomizes the principles upheld by the Sangha. Aligned with the teachings of Lord Basaveshwara, the college is dedicated to delivering education imbued with moral values. It focuses on extending its educational reach to underserved children residing in nearby villages and semi-urban regions.
